The Appalachian Women’s Recording Giveaway
The Appalachian Women’s Recording Giveaway supports women musicians in Appalachia with original songs who lack access to recording resources. Open to women in the Appalachian region, one artist will be selected based on vision, readiness, and need. The winner will receive a professional recording session in Roan Mountain (June 19, 2026) and referrals for mixing and mastering. Additional funding may allow the recording to be fully mixed, mastered, and released at no cost. Applications close April 20, 2026.

Your contribution helps bring the selected artist’s song to life. We are raising $650 to cover professional mixing, mastering, and cover art so the recording can be released through distribution. If you’d like a place to start, many supporters give $10, $25, or $50, but any amount helps amplify women’s voices in Appalachia.
